In collaboration with customers and suppliers, Koen Pack has developed a series of FSC-certified sleeves made of water-repellent Kraft paper–Hydropaper sleeves.

The paper sleeve gives the bouquet a natural and sustainable appearance, and is biodegradable and recyclable, and can be collected to reuse as paper waste.

There are various test reports for both the water resistance, the strength of the paper and the degradability of the Hydropaper sleeves, according to EN 13432 standards.

The ‘Green Walk’
Visitors can walk the “Green Walk” at the Aalsmeer trade fair this November 6-8, 2019 in Aalsneer, The Netherlands.

Joining the Green Walk, Koen Park supports the sustainable platform Floriculture Sustainability Initiative (FSI), whose ambition is to produce 90 percent of the internationally-traded flowers sustainably by 2020.

Sustainable for Dutch growers means MPS-GAP, Global-GAP or SKAL–certified. We support this ambition with our participation in various platforms and materials with FSC and Seedling logo.

The Koen Pack Hydropaper sleeves have been nominated for a Greenovation award for sustainable innovation.

The Hydropaper sleeves will be shown at the Koen Pack booth # 3.1, with sample books showcasing the different materials.
