Located on Rt. 1 in Monmouth Junction, the brand-new South Brunswick ShopRite will open this Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 7 a.m. (Shutterstock) SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The highly anticipated South Brunswick ShopRite will open this Wednesday, Nov. 6, the store announced. The South Brunswick ShopRite will be located in Heritage Plaza at 4154 Rt. 1 north in Monmouth Junction. The store will open its doors Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 7:00 a.m. with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. This will be a 72,000-square-foot ShopRite This is a Saker ShopRite owned by the Saker family, which owns 32 ShopRite grocery stores across New Jersey. South Brunswick is their newest store. Saker ShopRites also owns30 pharmacies, two liquor stores, and Dearborn Market and Garden Center in Holmdel. “Shoppers will enjoy all the amenities and benefits our new state-of-the-art store has to offer,” said Richard Saker, President and CEO of Saker ShopRites, Inc. “We look forward to becoming the supermarket destination of choice for South Brunswick and the surrounding areas.” The new ShopRite of South Brunswick will include: A freshly prepared fine foods selection with over 1,000 items A 2,500-square-foot nutrition center with more than 3,000 items, including an assortment of natural, organic, gluten free and allergy-friendly foods.
